TINY WORKS
I got inspired to paint these little guys at the studio I taught at. I didn't teach students to paint teacups per se, but we did go over the value of working quickly and loosely. These paintings started as a speed challenge to myself; set a timer for an hour and see what I can whip up in a frenzy. A couple of pop punk playlists later and I had surprised myself with a whole little collection! I have since started to expand the fine China concept to a larger scale of still life, and I am enjoying it. I love little old bits and bobs like teacups and saucers. They make me think of all the rooms and tables and people they have helped have a good time.
