Most of these started as studies I made in order to just expand my own skill and capacity to see subject matter well, but inevitably a sensibility has followed. Producing in volume tends to allow for originality to come through. A little bit at first, then more and more comfortably do personal aesthetics begin to bubble up. I am still learning my style. I'm learning what draws my attention from daily life. What is a moment? What is real? What is bright, colorful, realistic, textural, shiny, soft, etc.? It'll all come together in the end. I'll grow as I paint and paint as I grow.
